The Institute of Clinical and Preventive Medicine of the University of Latvia (ICPM) is participating in the EUnetCCC project, which focuses on strengthening the European Comprehensive Cancer Centre Network. The WP3 "Evaluation" work package is a vital element of the project, ensuring the assessment of progress and impact.

WP3 Objectives

  • Develop an evaluation system for the EUnetCCC project and the European cancer network.
  • Establish data management mechanisms and KPIs (key performance indicators) to monitor the project's efficiency.
  • Create and publish regular reports, ensuring transparency and providing recommendations for improvement.


ICPM’s Role in the Project

As a participant in the WP3 work package, ICPM contributes to the following key tasks:
1. Data collection and analysis: Ensuring standardised and reliable data to track the project's progress.
2. Preparation of regular reports: Annual and final reports that will serve as a foundation for future activities.
3. Development of the evaluation strategy: Collaborating with leading European partners.

Expected Outcomes

The WP3 work will deliver:

  • D3.1 – Evaluation Strategy (May 2025): A detailed plan for developing an indicator system.
  • D3.2 – Final Evaluation Report (September 2028): A comprehensive analysis of the project’s impact and achievements.
  • D3.3 – Action-Level Indicators (September 2028): Specific recommendations for future development.


Project Significance

The results of EUnetCCC WP3 will serve as a basis for shaping more effective cancer treatment policies while fostering knowledge exchange and collaboration across European countries.
