During the event, participants are focusing on developing strategies and action plans in eight key areas:
1. Care – Improving patient support.
2. Prevention – Effective cancer prevention.
3. Research – Developing innovative scientific solutions.
4. Diagnostics – Early and accurate disease detection.
5. Secondary use of clinical data – Data analysis to improve treatments.
6. Clinical trials – Designing and testing new therapies.
7. Life after cancer – Ensuring sustainable quality of life for patients’ post-treatment.
8. Oncology centre management – Implementing efficient management approaches.
The meeting aims to establish networks in each of these areas, ensuring that at least 50% of project participants actively engage in facilitating knowledge exchange and developing new approaches to cancer prevention and treatment.
At the event’s conclusion, the first strategies and plans from working groups will be presented, forming the basis for future activities. The next major project milestone is scheduled for the second week of December in Portugal, where participants will discuss initial results and plan subsequent steps.
