The University of Latvia’s Institute of Clinical and Preventive Medicine is proud to be part of EUnetCCC, an EU-wide initiative aimed at building a network of Comprehensive Cancer Centers (CCCs) to deliver high-quality cancer care.

Highlights from the Kick-Off Meeting:
●    Coordinated Communication – clear contact persons were selected for each Work Package (WP) and participating country to enhance information sharing. Developing the project’s brand identity and targeted communication strategies will help effectively reach healthcare professionals, policymakers, and the public.
●    Sustainable Development and Quality – the projects aim to adopt a sustainable strategy to support CCC operations beyond the project’s end. This long-term approach focuses on continuous quality improvement and active patient involvement to make high-standard cancer care widely accessible.
●    Unified Certification Standards – EUnetCCC will implement unified certification criteria across all centres, with flexibility to accommodate smaller countries' specific needs. Certification standards are being piloted to test various models, ensuring all centres meet high-quality benchmarks.
●    Network Activities and Engagement — to foster collaboration and capacity-building, CCCs will participate in network activities, and workgroups will focus on skills development, research, and the creation of supportive resources for centres across Europe.
The next Steps and Initial Partner Meeting are planned for December 2024 in Faro, Portugal, where project tasks and future actions will be mapped out.
With these strategic decisions, EUnetCCC is moving forward to establish a unified European network that will make high-quality cancer care accessible to all.

The project "European Comprehensive Cancer Centre Network (EUnetCCC)" has received funding from the European Union's EU4Health programme under the Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA) in accordance with Grant Agreement No. 101183407.
