Two important European-level events focused on advancing cancer care, research, and collaboration will take place in Nicosia, Cyprus, under the patronage of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union 2026. Both events will bring together stakeholders from across Europe.

EU Cancer Mission Fair on April 28

The second EU Cancer Mission Fair will be held on April 28 in Nicosia. This European gathering will focus on citizen engagement, collaboration, and shared experiences in cancer care and research. The event is organised as part of the Establishing Cancer Mission Hubs: Networks and Synergies (ECHoS) project, in collaboration with the European Commission’s EU Cancer Mission.

The Fair is open to a wide range of participants, including patient organisations, civil society representatives, researchers, policymakers, healthcare professionals, industry representatives, and other stakeholders committed to advancing cancer care and research.

The programme will include keynote speeches, roundtable discussions, workshops, interactive exhibitions, and an art gallery, alongside presentations of EU Cancer Mission projects.

The event will take place in person, with live streaming available from the main auditorium. Participation is free of charge.

Registration is open until April 17.

EUnetCCC High-Level Policy Event on April 29

On April 29, also in Nicosia, a high-level policy event titled Strengthening Comprehensive Cancer Care in Europe: The Strategic Role and Long-Term Sustainability of EUnetCCC will take place. The programme of the event will focus on the future of comprehensive cancer care in Europe, highlighting the strategic importance and long-term sustainability of the EUnetCCC network.

A dedicated case study on Cyprus will demonstrate how the Comprehensive Cancer Care (CCC) model and European collaboration can help address structural challenges faced by smaller Member States, while highlighting opportunities to improve quality of care, strengthen research integration, and increase access to innovation.

The event will also explore broader Member State needs and emphasise the importance of ensuring the long-term sustainability of the network in supporting the development of cancer care systems across Europe.

Registration is now open.

We encourage all interested stakeholders to take part in these complementary events and contribute to shaping the future of cancer care in Europe.
