CCI4EU - Comprehensive Cancer Infrastructures 4 Europe

CCI4EU is an ambitious European Union initiative that supports the goals of the Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan by strengthening national and regional Comprehensive Cancer Infrastructures (CCI), with the aim of promoting equitable access to cancer care, research, and innovation across Europe.
The objective of CCI4EU is to develop a coordinated, patient-cenetred, and sustainable cancer care infrastructure that integrates healthcare, research, training, and digitalization.

The project’s activities are based on a targeted situational assessment, in-depth country visits (Deep Dives), multidisciplinary working groups, and knowledge-transfer mechanisms. Special attention is given to countries with the greatest needs in the field of cancer in order to reduce disparities between Member States.

Project objectives:
• To map and analyze existing cancer infrastructures and capacities in the Member States;
• To promote the implementation and dissemination of comprehensive cancer care models;
• To develop training and knowledge-transfer mechanisms;
• To ensure close alignment between healthcare, research, public engagement, and policymakers;
• To develop recommendations for the sustainable implementation of CCIs across all EU Member States.
