LZP

LZP - The Latvian Council of Science was established in 1991. In accordance with the Law on Scientific Activity, the Latvian Council of Science is a collegiate institution of the scientists under the supervision of the Ministry of Education and Science. The Council is a counsellor of the Latvian Government on research and researchers training issues. It advises on the formulation and implementation of science, higher education and R&D policy. The Council takes active part in project based competitive R&D funding, as well as promotes the development of Latvian researcher resources and fosters the international scientific cooperation.Apvārsnis 2020 apvieno dažādus ES pētniecības un inovācijas finansējuma instrumentus


The following studies are carried out within the framework of the LZP program:

Ethically and socially responsible governance of research biobanks in Latvia: analysis of opinions of public, donors and researchers(projekta nr. lzp-2018/2-01710)
The aim of the project: The aim of the project is to contribute to ethically and socially responsible governance of research biobanks in Latvia by analysing opinions of the general public, donors and researchers.
Duration of the project: 01.12.2018- 30.11.2020

Volatile biomarkers for identifying risk factors for etermination of cancer and increased risk of cancer: proof of concept and evaluation of effects of microflora of the digestive system
